West Monroe is seeking a Senior Strategy & Business Analytics Architect/Advisor to join our Technology & Experience Practice, specifically within Transaction Services–Data Engineering & Analytics. In this role, you will deliver technology M&A due diligence projects by partnering with other Transaction Services advisors and architects. You will provide assessment solutions and tech advisory across various industries, including Private Equity, High-Tech & Software, Healthcare, and Financial Services. As a technology-agnostic firm, you will have the opportunity to continuously expand your skill set by working with cutting-edge tools, platforms, and frameworks.
This is an exciting opportunity within our newly formalized technology M&A offering, where you will lead strategic enterprise projects, advanced analytics due diligence, post-merger integrations, and carve-out advisory engagements.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and Transaction Services consultants from various competencies, including Software Engineering, Cloud & Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Data & Analytics, to support holistic tech due diligence assessments for client M&A activity.
- Identify growth and remediation opportunities through analysis of existing data and analytics systems, business processes, and data monetization opportunities.
- Assess technology/libraries/tooling landscape within enterprise organizations to advise strategic investors on market readiness, scalability, and cost reduction.
- Formulate strategic investment summaries, key risk mitigation analyses, and long-term technology-based strategies for pre-close and post-close projects.
- Establish linkage between business strategy and data strategy to deliver impactful outcomes.
- Present results, interpret, and recommend outcomes, including development of new concepts and major advances.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to data engineers, architects, BI analysts, and practitioners.
- Be a thought leader, create white papers, and represent the organization at industry conferences and events.
Qualifications:
- Master’s/Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Minimum 10+ years of hands-on professional development experience in data modeling and data design with hands-on experience implementing solutions.
- Experience with consulting firms/industries or start-ups preferred.
- Technical programming experience to access and extract data from diverse sources on multiple platforms.
- Experience in complex data migration to and from disparate data systems/platforms, including cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of data warehousing and BI best practices.
- Proficiency in cloud-native, industry-leading products and emerging start-up offerings.
- Excellent critical thinking, leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Willingness to travel for out-of-town client engagements.
