Sr.Data Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer who is prepared for new and exciting challenges. This professional will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable and reliable data pipelines to support YETI's business needs while enabling data scientists to perform advanced analytics and machine learning tasks. The ideal candidate will own the system architecture and infrastructure of our Google Cloud Data warehouse and other related GCP services, as well as assist BI developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.

Qualifications & Attributes:

• Education and Experience:
  • At least 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, mathematics, or related fields
• Technical Skills:
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform services (Big Query, Dataflow, Composer, Pub/Sub, etc.)
  • Expert in writing, analyzing, and tuning complex SQL queries
  • Extensive experience with Python programming
  • Familiarity with data quality and governance principles and best practices
  • Experience with API integration and management tools (Apigee or Mulesoft is a plus)
  • Good understanding of Object-Oriented programming
  • Hands-on experience with Java, JavaScript & Pyspark is a huge plus
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving ability and a positive attitude
  • Willingness to work with new tools and learn new programming languages
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
  • Experience with Tableau or other BI tools for data visualization and dashboarding

Location:

This position is based in Austin, TX, at our headquarters office located off Southwest Parkway. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate to Austin.
