We are looking for our first Data Scientist. You are a highly motivated individual contributor who will define a data-driven culture across our consumer product and developer platform. Your role will involve establishing our north star metrics and creating source-of-truth dashboards for the entire team to answer their growth, product, and research questions. You should expect to work cross-functionally with product, growth, and research teams. You thrive in a hyper-growth tech company, are creative in your thinking, and tactical in execution. A passion for numbers and users is essential. Note: This job is not meant for recent graduates.

Responsibilities:

  • Embed within the product, growth, and research teams to uncover opportunities for driving growth.
  • Set up the data science infrastructure and dashboards, enabling all teams to answer most questions in a self-service manner.
  • Establish a data-driven culture by identifying, communicating, and socializing our north star metrics.
  • Define and analyze tests for the impact of growth tests, product changes, and model adjustments on end users.

Background:

  • 7+ years of experience in a data science role; ideally as a founding Data Scientist or lead analyst at a hyper-growth product or research company.
  • Comfortable building and maintaining a modern data stack, even if you are not a software engineer.
  • Strong focus on defining and implementing metrics and designing experiments with clear insights and recommendations.
  • Self-starter with superb communication skills, capable of effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to build great relationships.
  • A sense of humor.

Compensation: $200,000 - $250,000 a year.
