Senior data Scientist – Long Term Contract

We are seeking a technical expert to lead a long-term project utilizing innovative Machine Learning techniques for a client in the oil & Gas sector. This boutique consultancy is experiencing strong growth, driven by the vision of a new Head of AI. The initial stages of this project involve optimizing existing ML models and progressing towards the introduction of Deep Learning & Reinforcement Learning techniques to enhance efficiency and drive commercial gains for the client. This role is anticipated as a 6-month contract with significant potential for renewal, as the overall project is estimated to run for approximately 3 years. Support will be provided by an experienced Head of AI and a highly capable Data team. This is a remote role with no client travel required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Data Science & ML related projects, ensuring successful outcomes.
• Optimize existing Machine Learning models for better performance.
• Introduce Deep Learning and Reinforcement Learning techniques to drive commercial success.
• Translate complex technical problems into understandable concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience in leading Data Science & ML projects is essential.
• Proven experience with Deep Learning techniques is particularly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• STEM background is preferred.
• Ability to work comfortably in a fully remote environment.
• Available to start immediately.
