About This Role: As a Senior Data Scientist at MN Custom Homes, you will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into actionable insights, driving innovation and growth through meticulous data analysis. This role demands a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and proficiency in data mining and cleaning. You will be essential in communicating complex data findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your expertise will support a range of departments, including Construction, Architecture, Interior Design, and Sales, making your contributions critical to our diverse operations.

On a Given Day, Your Work Might Include:

  • Analyze data for meaningful trends, patterns, and insights to deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers.
  • Develop and implement statistical models to predict future trends and customer behavior.
  • Evaluate internal systems to identify inefficiencies and inaccuracies, optimizing data infrastructure.
  • Transform vague requests into well-defined outcomes, ensuring alignment with stakeholders.
  • Create, automate, and maintain interactive visualizations from multiple data sources.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain databases by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources.

Required Skills and Characteristics:

  • Excellent with data mining, mathematics, statistical analysis, testing, and visualization.
  • Proficient in pattern recognition and predictive modeling.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with comfort in public speaking and explaining complex findings.
  • Ability to be an effective relationship builder with a vast array of stakeholders.
  • Strong skills in Excel, PowerBI, SQL, and programming languages (e.g., Java/Python, SAS).
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Growth mindset with a strong sense of curiosity and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to handle multiple demands and transitions into new assignments.
  • Independent working capability with little oversight.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or equivalent.
  • 7 to 12 years of experience in data analytics or data science.
  • Experience programming in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Experience using a Business Intelligence tool such as PowerBI.
  • Experience working with large datasets in the cloud.

Hours & Compensation: This is a full-time position paying $128,000 - $204,000. Individual placement within this range will vary based on experience and skills.
