Senior Data Infrastructure Engineer

We are looking for a Sr. Data Infrastructure Engineer to join Libertas Funding, LLC, a dynamic fintech company specializing in providing capital to small and medium-sized businesses. Position Summary: The Sr. Data Infrastructure Engineer will be the 'go-to person' for all things related to data engineering. This role primarily supports the business intelligence and data science teams, and all data infrastructure builds must be scalable and extendable to other areas of Libertas' technology and software development. The ideal candidate will evaluate the pros and cons of automating versus customizing the Company's data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Scope, design, and implement automation of data build, test, deploy, and release processes.
• Automate the timely and accurate delivery of reporting and analytics data.
• Build and maintain robust, observable ETL data pipelines.
• Update and maintain AWS cloud and on-premises data warehouse components.
• Investigate and remediate technical issues and maintain documentation for system configuration and processes.
• Build and maintain CI/CD technologies, providing technical expertise in infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Maintain performance and SLA metrics for build/release systems.
• Collaborate within the development team to meet goals and objectives and document knowledge to enable problem-solving.
• Adhere to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls according to regulatory standards.

Technical Skills:

• Architect new APIs and maintain existing ones.
• Deep knowledge of the AWS stack, especially AWS data-related resources (Glue, Redshift, RDS, Athena).
• Proficiency in Python, MySQL, Postgres, and Version Control (Git).
• Experience with CI/CD integration in AWS DevOps, Docker, Docker-compose, and Kubernetes.
• Serverless experience is a plus.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of software engineering experience (4+ as a data engineer) in enterprise-level application development and integration projects.
• Proven experience configuring monitoring/alerting in AWS and implementing IaC using Terraform/Ansible.
• Strong communication skills and experience partnering with cross-functional business groups.
• Expertise in maintaining and integrating data pipelines and data warehouses.
• Proficiency in managing data in SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience in Agile software development processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an intrinsic motivation to learn new technologies.
• Knowledge of data governance best practices, including data quality and privacy.

Salary Range: $140,000 - $180,000
