The Rockerbox Integrations team is primarily responsible for mission-critical data pipelines that ingest customers' marketing data from third-party APIs. Additionally, the team manages systems that deliver value directly to customers through data collection, validation, aggregation, and delivery. Successful candidates will bring expertise in the AWS environment (Redshift) and Kubernetes (K8s), along with deep Python expertise. Beyond technical skills, we seek candidates passionate about contributing to a team-focused, dynamic environment and eager to influence our product's evolution as we expand to thousands of customers.

Responsibilities:

• Scope and own projects related to building scalable, resilient, well-monitored, and cost-efficient data ingests and pipelines
• Share knowledge with other engineers through design and code reviews and maintain and improve engineering codebase patterns
• As a tech lead, work with Product Managers and cross-functional teams to design solutions meeting business requirements and prepare clear technical specifications
• Identify and evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and trends to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in engineering processes

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience as a data engineer with extensive experience working in AWS services
• Prior experience working with Redshift and Kubernetes (K8s)
• Experience with ingesting data from third-party APIs and modern orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow) is preferred
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) is preferred
• Some experience mentoring engineers and a desire to apply expertise in mentorship situations, particularly in data warehousing, pipelines, and related technology architectures
• Ability to simplify complex topics in both written and verbal communication
• Technical project leadership experience with strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across multiple teams
• Product mindset to embrace business needs and produce scalable data/engineering solutions
