Senior Data Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to help us build and scale data systems that process petabytes of data to provide important insights to our teams. In this role, you’ll be on a team that manages the entire ETL & data warehousing process, making it easier for data scientists, analysts, and engineers to use data and drive value. You’ll also mentor team members, and your work will have a direct impact on millions of users around the world.

In particular, you will:

• Develop and maintain data pipelines for site operations.
• Ingest and maintain data assets.
• Design, build, and launch new data models in production using DBT.
• Collaborate with Data Analysts, Software Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers, and key product stakeholders to define the best data solutions.
• Build data platforms for analysts and product managers to use and get data insights.

Requirements:

• BS degree in STEM.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for building data pipelines.
• Experience with data warehousing tools (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, etc.) and transformation tools (DBT, SQLMesh).
• Experience mentoring and leading data engineers and analysts.
• Familiarity with cloud providers like AWS or GCP.

Bonus Points:

• Knowledge of data governance best practices.
• Experience with DBT and data modeling.
