Senior Data Engineer

Position Purpose

• Develop and operationalize data pipelines for consumption, including data ingestion, transformation, validation/quality, optimization, and orchestration.
• Engage with DevSecOps Engineer during continuous integration and deployment.
• Guide the design and implementation of data management procedures, with a focus on automation.
• Provide guidance to data engineers in designing, developing, implementing, testing, documenting, and operating data structures for business intelligence analytics.
• Design, develop, and maintain real-time processing applications and data pipelines.
• Ensure quality of technical solutions as data moves across Centene’s environments.
• Offer senior-level knowledge and insights into data environment changes and drive toward viable solutions.
• Develop, construct, test, and maintain architectures using advanced programming languages and tools.
• Enhance data reliability, efficiency, and quality, deploying solutions and automating tasks.
• Comply with all policies and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science).
• Requires 4 – 6 years of related experience or equivalent experience through applicable knowledge and skills.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Servers; SQL (Programming Language).
• Experience with SSIS and diagnosing system issues, data validation, and quality assurance testing.
• Experience with Data Manipulation, Data Mining, and relevant programming languages (C#, Java, Python, SQL).

Soft Skills

• Intermediate skills in specialty knowledge acquisition and problem identification.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrated analytical skills.
• Project management skills with a high level of accuracy under pressure.
• Excellent judgment and decision-making skills.

Pay Range

• $83,600.00 - $155,000.00 per year, adjusted based on skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
