The BI Team consists of a highly collaborative, pragmatic, and iterative group that believes in well-rounded contributions, eliminating single points of failure. You'll engage with a variety of tasks, from creating and managing visualizations for front-end customer use to engineering ETLs for back-end data processes, ultimately supporting operational teams with custom data solutions across the BI platform.
Responsibilities:
- Engineer robust, scalable ETLs for data ingestion and reporting.
- Build and maintain dashboards for internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Automate and enhance existing data ingestion processes, contributing to orchestration pipelines and improving data quality assurance.
- Significantly enhance the company's cloud-based data platform.
- Implement/refine CI/CD, IaC, test-driven development, agile, and reporting strategies that can scale.
- Gather and assess requirements from clients and internal departments to understand their needs, challenges, and goals.
- Collaborate with software developers and data scientists to deliver cross-departmental solutions.
- Communicate new features and lead training sessions for internal users, clients, and partners.
- Foster a healthy culture of collaboration while strengthening the team’s agile practices.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in BI platform development and/or data engineering.
- 3+ years of scripting and programming experience in Python.
- 3+ years of experience with SQL-based databases (Redshift, Athena, SQL Server, MySQL, etc.).
- 3+ years of experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, QuickSight, Power BI, etc.).
- 3+ years of experience with cloud computing services (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.).
- 3+ years of experience with Git version control (Bitbucket, GitHub, etc.).
- 2-3 years of experience with IaC tools (CloudFormation, Terraform, etc.) preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.) preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience working within a Kanban team or environment preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience with test-driven development principles preferred.
