The Opportunity
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will drive excellence across the entire data lifecycle, including ingestion, modeling, quality, and availability. Your passion for data and commitment to technical excellence will enable you to create elegant solutions for a wide range of data challenges, shaping our entire technology stack. You will demonstrate self-leadership and mentor your peers, fostering a culture of growth and continuous improvement within the team.
How You'll Make A Difference Day To Day:
- Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to ingest and model complex datasets for data-driven decisions.
- Identify, design, and implement process improvements, automate manual processes, and optimize data delivery for efficient scalability.
- Design and implement processes for data observability, usage metrics, and monitoring, ensuring platform reliability and performance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of data engineering, analytics engineering, or software development experience.
- 3+ years of strong data engineering design/development experience with large-scale distributed data platforms/products.
- Proficient in Python, SQL.
- Familiarity with Apache Kafka.
- Experience with dbt and data modeling.
- Proven experience building scalable, efficient data pipelines using Snowflake and other cloud-based data technologies.
- Familiar with workflow management systems (Airflow, Argo Workflows, etc.).
- Experience designing and implementing data ingestion platforms, interacting with multiple third-party data sources, and creating actionable structures.
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and peers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with a security-related SaaS product.
- Experience in developing data architectures within greenfield efforts.
- Familiarity with applying Data Science algorithms and/or ML ops.
- Knowledge of distributed processing systems like Snowpark.
Salary and Benefits:
- Salary: $187,000 - $206,000/year.
- Competitive salary with 100% individual and dependent medical, dental, and vision coverage.
