Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer for a remote-based role based in the US. Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a technical subject matter expert, mentoring fellow engineers and leading a small team through programming and design challenges.
• Exhibit strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills while influencing both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Operate effectively in a fast-paced technical environment with high adaptability and flexibility while delivering results across cross-functional teams.
• Communicate clearly, succinctly, and persuasively to employees, customers, and management, including executives.
• Demonstrate a 'self-starter' attitude and the ability to make independent decisions.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience building and optimizing cloud-based, enterprise big data pipelines, architectures, and datasets.
• Strong expertise with big data tools such as Spark, Hadoop, and/or Kafka; experience with object-oriented languages like Python, Java, and/or Scala; and familiarity with cloud data warehousing technology like Snowflake.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform.
• Successfully solve Callibrity's HackerRank and Code Pairing Challenges.
• Possess interpersonal skills characterized by professionalism, accountability, a passion for learning, and a collaborative mentality.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, embodying a leadership role with an awareness of broader business challenges and goals.
• Mentor and upskill peers and clients' teams while solving a variety of problems with appropriate solutions.
• Communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, while proactively identifying challenges and recommending solutions.
• Demonstrate mastery of software development best practices (Agile, DevOps, Test Automation, CI/CD, TDD) and teach these concepts to others.
• Stay ahead by exploring new technologies, including AI, Machine Learning, Cloud, and IoT.
