What you will be doing:
- Design and implement scalable, efficient, and secure data warehouse architectures using Microsoft SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and other Microsoft data tools.
- Develop and maintain data models, ETL processes, and data pipelines to support business intelligence and analytics needs.
- Build and manage ETL/ELT processes using Azure Data Factory, ensuring accurate and efficient data movement.
- Integrate data from various sources, including on-premises databases, cloud services, and external APIs, into the data warehouse.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all data systems; optimize data storage and retrieval processes to enhance performance and reduce costs.
- Monitor and enforce data quality standards to ensure clean, consistent, and reliable data.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in data technologies, propose and implement improvements to existing data architecture and processes, and perform other duties as assigned.
What you already have:
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or a high school diploma with equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or related roles.
- 4+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS) or Azure data tools (Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database).
- 2+ years of experience with cloud-based data solutions and hybrid data environments.
- Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data architecture principles.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
- Knowledge of data security best practices and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated capability in utilizing one or more cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills; ability to prioritize tasks and allocate resources efficiently.
- Desire to embody Slide's Core Values.
