About The Role
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to support our growth in the cyber risk modeling and quantification space. This role involves developing and productionizing quant models while continuously innovating on our data and analytics-driven functionality. You will work cross-functionally with data science, product, engineering, and design teams to deliver rich solutions for our customers. We operate under a hybrid model, requiring approximately 50% office time, with specifics to be determined with your manager.
What you’ll do:
• Collaborate with Data Science, Engineering, and Product teams to enhance Axio's data products.
• Analyze and organize raw data through automated pipelines for advanced analytics.
• Lead the implementation and deployment of data science models focusing on performance.
• Develop data quality processes and frameworks to ensure accuracy.
• Architect Axio's next-generation data infrastructure to support growing data products.
Qualifications:
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Technical leadership to construct and architect Axio's data solutions.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a remote team of data scientists, engineers, and product managers.
• Adaptability in a growing and evolving company.
• Dedication and ownership with a solution-oriented mindset.
Required Technical Skills:
• Strong proficiency in Python, with a minimum of 5 recent years of experience.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related roles.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools, data warehousing solutions, and big data technologies.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with delivering solutions on cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, etc.).
Important Technical Skills:
• Self-motivated problem solver.
• Experience with TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with the React framework.
• Experience with data governance, security, and compliance.
Compensation: The New York base salary for this full-time position is between $131k - $171k, determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
