As a Senior Engineer on the Reference Data team, you will be responsible for building our next-generation multi-asset, global security master platform, providing critical functionality for the trading, research, middle, and back office processes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing simple, resilient services, both in the cloud and on-prem, to read, process, and distribute security reference data within the firm.
  • Contributing to an asset class-agnostic security master that provides scale to quickly add new asset types, enrichment, and data sets.
  • Collaborating on client APIs written in C++, Java, and Python with quants and developers across various functions.
  • Actively participating in software engineering practices by understanding requirements, proposing solutions, and ensuring the timely delivery of robust software into production.
  • Using new technologies and architectures with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Contributing to platform growth through team code reviews, system reviews, standardizing methodologies, and CI/CD tooling.

Key requirements for this position include:

  • Experience loading and processing security reference data and/or alternate data sets from exchanges and vendors such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, S&P, etc.
  • Experience in a quantitative/systematic trading environment and understanding of financial markets, instruments, corporate actions, and their effects on financial instruments life cycle.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages, especially at least two of the following: Python, Java, and/or C++, with a minimum of 5 years of development experience.
  • Knowledge of database technologies (e.g., SQL, Snowflake) and ability to write complex queries.
  • Familiarity with streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Solace) and cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP), while cloud experience is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with multi-threaded, event-driven, and micro-services application architectures.

Compensation includes a salary range of $175k - $225k, plus a discretionary bonus based on individual skills, experience, qualifications, and firm performance.
