Your Impact on our Mission The Analytics team at Zocdoc is a fast-growing group of thought leaders and problem solvers. As a Principal Marketing Data Scientist, you will collaborate with marketing stakeholders to identify, structure, and lead high-priority analytics projects. This role combines a deep understanding of various marketing channels and their nuances with cross-channel expertise and sharp business acumen to drive key business metrics. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: - Analyzing performance data to measure lift driven by marketing efforts. - Partnering with internal and external marketing teams to recommend strategic shifts based on data insights. - Forecasting and creating scenarios for marketing initiatives. - Leveraging Python and/or R to build scalable solutions. - Designing, executing, and analyzing results from incrementality/lift studies and A/B tests. - Collaborating with the data engineering team to structure marketing data. - Building and fostering relationships with stakeholders across the organization. You’ll be successful in this role if you have: - 7+ years of experience in marketing analytics, strategy consulting, or investment banking. - 3+ years of experience owning marketing attribution across multiple channels at a consumer technology company. - Familiarity with digital marketing and analytics tools/platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Facebook, Tableau, Looker). - Experience with MMM/MTA models and expertise in regression-based measurement approaches. - Passion for measuring performance for both digital and offline marketing through incrementality/lift studies and A/B tests. - Expertise in SQL as well as Python and/or R. - A BA/BS in a quantitative field (e.g., economics, mathematics, statistics); an MBA or advanced degree is a plus. - Effective written and verbal communication skills. - Humility, treating all people with dignity and respect. Certain positions are also eligible for variable pay and/or equity; your recruiter will discuss the full compensation package. NYC Base Salary Range: $177,000—$239,000 USD.
