A Day in the Life:
We are looking for a Marketing-focused Data Engineer to join our Analytics team. In this role, you’ll:
- Build data pipelines and models, primarily with technologies like Matillion, Snowflake, and DBT. Knowledge of Fivetran or Rivery is a bonus.
- Collaborate with a solution architect to devise modular code and metadata-driven processes that are scalable and easy to understand.
- Communicate and document your work for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Allocate most of your time and energy to hands-on client work, while also having opportunities for scoping projects and developing new business.
- Help build state-of-the-art data pipelines, data models, and ML Models that drive decision-making processes.
You’re an all-around data geek if you have:
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Marketo, Marketing Cloud, and mobile data.
- Experience writing complex SQL queries daily and translating business requirements into SQL.
- Snowpro Certification.
- Experience building production data models from scratch, ideally inspired by a star schema.
- Working knowledge of DBT, Matillion, and/or Snowflake, with a desire to explore additional technologies like Fivetran, Databricks, Synapse, and Data Factory.
- A foundational understanding of reporting tools (like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker) and their interaction with data models.
- Knowledge of marketing analytics and integrating revenue with marketing campaigns from various data sources.
- Experience with a scripting language (including procedural SQL) and examples of automated tasks.
