We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer II to join Clover, a company reinventing healthcare by prioritizing health and well-being. As a Machine Learning Engineer II, you will help us use Machine Learning (including NLP/LLMs) to leverage data for providing targeted care to patients, ultimately keeping them healthier and out of hospitals.

As a Machine Learning Engineer II, You Will:

  • Create, debug, interpret, and improve production ML models.
  • Design, implement, and validate robust pieces of our high-reliability, distributed ML platforms.
  • Build tools and validation processes to translate insights into actionable steps.
  • Utilize existing commercial and open-source tools to develop a scalable production platform.
  • Collaborate closely with Data Science and Engineering teams to maximize the ML platform's value.
  • Document, iterate, and provide tutorials to enable Data Scientists and Engineers to easily use your tools.

Success In This Role Looks Like:

  • Within 90 days: Deliver a well-scoped project improving ML models or systems.
  • Within 6 months: Take on larger pieces of the system and work more autonomously.
  • In the future: Increase ownership of larger and more complex ML models and systems.

You Should Get In Touch If:

  • You have 3+ years of experience in Machine Learning Engineering or related roles (healthcare experience preferred).
  • You are proficient in Python and data science libraries (numpy, pandas, sklearn, tensorflow, pytorch, etc.).
  • You possess a solid foundation in feature engineering, feature selection, and AI techniques.
  • You can interpret, modify, and debug inputs and outputs of production ML models.
  • You have experience building and refactoring parts of distributed ML systems.
