Machine Learning Engineer

Role Overview: The Chaos AI division is seeking a highly skilled and motivated engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining our AI solutions related to vision, language, and other modalities. Your tasks will involve collaborating with other engineers, data scientists, and product managers to design and build scalable and reliable AI-powered solutions that can process vast amounts of documents efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop novel models that effectively combine information from vision and language models.
• Research and explore the latest advancements in multimodal machine learning, LLMs, and related fields through continuous learning and professional development.
• Preprocess and curate datasets to ensure suitability for training proposed models and evaluate model performance on various tasks to identify areas of improvement.
• Optimize hyperparameters and model configurations across different modalities while applying transfer learning techniques to enhance model generalization and reduce training time.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop APIs for system integration, assist in model deployment, and monitor performance for reliability and scalability.
• Work with product managers to define requirements, maintain detailed documentation of model designs, implementations, and experiments for knowledge sharing.

Minimum Requirements:

• Master's and/or PhD degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field with at least 2 years of professional experience in Machine Learning.
• Solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals and experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch).
• Extensive experience in training deep neural network models and strong programming skills in Python, C++, or similar languages, as well as Linux scripting.
• Able to thrive in ambiguous environments and collaborate closely with team members to solve challenging technical problems.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience with Computer Vision and Document Processing.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for model development and deployment.
• Experience with Huggingface, LangChain, or PyTorch Lightning.

Salary Range: $160,000 - $220,000. The stated compensation range reflects only the targeted base compensation range and excludes additional earnings such as bonus, equity, and benefits.
