Weber Shandwick is seeking a Data Engineer with 5+ years of experience in building and maintaining data pipelines, databases, and processing systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong proficiency in Python and extensive experience in developing sophisticated data pipelines using Apache Airflow and Kubernetes for large-scale tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining architectures, including databases and large-scale processing systems, while recommending and implementing improvements to enhance data reliability, efficiency, and quality. This role necessitates a high level of creativity, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer using industry-leading cloud platforms, specifically within AWS.
  • Proficiency in Python using Pandas Dataframes.
  • Experience in developing sophisticated data pipelines using Apache Airflow.
  • Familiarity with container orchestration systems like Kubernetes and utilizing Kubernetes within Apache Airflow for large-scale tasks.
  • Experience with UI work using Python frameworks like Streamlit, Flask or similar.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct independent work and manage projects from inception to completion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant AWS certifications.
  • Experience with social media data and APIs.
  • Working knowledge of BI platforms such as Domo, Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, etc.
  • Experience working in an agency setting.

Salary: NYC Salary range: $115,000 - $140,000. The compensation within this range will depend on various factors including current/former employee ranges, market considerations, budget, tenure, and the applicant's background, experience, and qualifications.
