We are looking for a full-time, exempt IT Systems Data Engineer to join the Technology Department at the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum, located in the heart of downtown Nashville. This role involves effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software, ensuring adherence to organizational values to support staff, volunteers, and partners in their business duties.

Job Overview: The IT Systems Data Engineer is responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing data infrastructure, database management, and data warehousing. Key responsibilities include:
- Engineering solutions for projects and operational needs.
- Installation and configuration of servers, application systems, and hardware in accordance with standards.
- System monitoring, security, backup operations, and troubleshooting.
- Maintaining operational information and performance reporting to support capacity planning.
- Implementing processes and systems to monitor data quality and analyzing raw data.
- Providing Tier III/other support, coordinating with impacted constituencies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Information Systems.
Essential Competencies: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Databases: Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, MySQL
- Operating Systems: Linux (CentOS, Debian), Windows Server (IIS, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, Active Directory)
- AWS topologies and methodologies; Microsoft O365, Teams, SharePoint
- Physical storage technologies: SAN, NAS; familiarity with virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware)
- Backup and Recovery processes (including Avamar)
Conditions of Employment:
- Attention to detail, excellent customer service, punctuality, and a “can do” attitude are required.
- Must work a flexible on-call schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
- This position is on-site; remote work is not available.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs is necessary.
