Our guiding principle is intelligent advertising that inspires trust. We’re passionate about making advertising better for everyone through our consent-based approach that empowers the world’s largest publishers, brands, and agencies to achieve their goals with integrity, transparency, and peace-of-mind. We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our machine learning and data science team. This position is full-time and 100% remote, with the option of working on-site from our NYC headquarters. Jun Group will only consider candidates for this position who are currently legally authorized to work in the United States.

Who You Are:

  • You enjoy collaboration with product, strategy, and machine learning engineers.
  • You love solving complex problems and can present sophisticated data analyses clearly.
  • You excel at uncovering consumer behavior and campaign performance trends through quantitative research.
  • You think creatively with data, formulating new ideas and perspectives for business and engineering partners.
  • You’re naturally curious and eager to contribute.
  • You’re detail-oriented and enjoy analysis and problem-solving.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work with product and data engineering stakeholders to identify key metrics and opportunities for improving business processes and product strategy.
  • Take on projects end-to-end, from business questions to production.
  • Enhance data collection procedures to include relevant information for analytical systems and predictive models.
  • Design and conduct surveys for market research, audience insights, and machine learning modeling.
  • Evaluate surveys and performance to improve future methodologies and remove sampling bias.
  • Process, cleanse, and verify data integrity for analysis and modeling.
  • Apply quantitative methods (e.g., descriptive analysis, univariate/multivariate tests, and statistical modeling) to optimize ad campaign performance and audience engagement.
  • Support the machine learning team in designing machine learning algorithms.
  • Create data visualizations, reports, dashboards, and perform data audits.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis and present results clearly.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced quantitative degree in Data Science, Statistics, Psychology, Mathematics, or related field or relevant combination of education and professional experience.
  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Practical knowledge of research methods, survey methodology, probability, and statistical modeling.
  • Proficient in SQL and comfortable manipulating large datasets in a data warehouse (e.g., BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake).
  • Experience with Python and machine learning tools like Tensorflow, Keras, and PyTorch.
  • Understanding of both deep learning and traditional machine learning algorithms.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Datastudio, Looker, Tableau).
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, especially in conveying technical content to non-technical audiences.

What We Offer:

  • A highly competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $80,000-$110,000 plus incentive pay.
  • 401k with company match.
  • Paid vacation, work from home, and sick days.
  • Designated time for projects you are passionate about.
  • Macbook Pros and any other equipment needed to work effectively from home.
  • For NY-area Residents: Hybrid remote work policy, with expectations to be in the office two days per week for those living within a 90-minute commute of our NYC office.

We welcome diversity and non-traditional paths into all roles, believing in hiring the right person rather than just focusing on a combination of keywords. Communications regarding your application will only come from @jungroup.com or @hyprmx.com email addresses.
