Summary: We are seeking a talented and driven Data Scientist to join our multi-disciplinary team. In this role, you will apply advanced data science techniques to large datasets captured from healthcare revenue cycle processes, helping to identify trends, optimize workflows, and create actionable insights. Your work will directly influence product development by developing algorithms that power operational intelligence. Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis & Model Development:
- Analyze large datasets from healthcare revenue cycle processes to uncover trends and patterns.
- Build and refine machine learning models for process mining, workflow optimization, and recommendations.
- Develop algorithms to detect workflow bottlenecks and calculate metrics to quantify process efficiency.
- Collaboration & Cross-Functional Work:
- Work with software engineers, data engineers, and product managers to integrate data science solutions into the product.
- Translate healthcare RCM business problems into analytical frameworks.
- Model Validation & Optimization:
- Validate and optimize models to ensure accurate insights and recommendations.
- Conduct A/B testing and other validation techniques to measure model performance.
- Visualization & Communication:
- Develop visualizations, dashboards, and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Present complex models in an understandable manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
- Stay updated with trends in machine learning and healthcare technology.
- Experiment with new techniques to enhance product intelligence and automation capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field (PhD is a plus).
- Experience:
- 3+ years in data science, ideally within healthcare.
- Proven experience in building machine learning models for process mining and anomaly detection.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Python and data science libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Experience with SQL, big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark), and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
- Domain Knowledge:
- Understanding of healthcare revenue cycle management is preferred but not required.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and critical-thinking abilities.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a passion for continuous improvement.
Travel Requirements: This role does require domestic travel, and expectations will be communicated by the department manager or executive.
Physical Demands: This job operates in a professional remote or in-office environment and involves standard office equipment usage. The role is largely sedentary but allows for flexibility in movement.
