We are looking for a Data Scientist II at Putnam, where you will lead and manage a team of Data Analysts & Data Scientists to tackle intriguing analytical challenges for our clients. You will play a crucial role in developing the core deliverables of our analytics engagements through your coding and modeling expertise. In this position, you will collaborate with the project case team on big data analytics and oversee various analytical workstreams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily operations with case managers to execute analyses into key findings and actionable recommendations, delivering these insights to clients.
  • Oversee and standardize core analytical project types while coaching junior team members on project execution and management.
  • Engage in diverse casework, including portfolio prioritization, resource optimization, market assessment, pricing strategies, and more.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in top-tier consulting firms or within the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology industries.
  • Proven analytical experience, problem-solving skills, and team management capabilities.
  • Strong command of pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry knowledge.
  • Proficiency in data processing and manipulation with SQL and Python/R/SAS, along with Excel (Power Query, VBA).
  • Experience in statistical testing and machine learning models, including non-parametric tests, supervised and unsupervised learning, and automation learning.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure for data analysis, such as AWS and Snowflake.
  • Competence in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense) and healthcare datasets (e.g., Komodo, IQVIA, Symphony, Truven).
  • Ability to manage multiple large-scale analytical projects and contribute meaningfully to project design and development.

This is NOT a technical IT role.
