Summary: The purpose of the cooperative experience is to provide a semester-long hands-on experience. Werfen hires students with leadership potential and proven academic success. Ideal candidates will combine technical and business knowledge with analytical strength and creative problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform entry-level work of a routine nature, applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in a sequence of related tasks.
  • Responsible for process and production support of a product or product line.
  • Support continuous improvement team efforts focused on process improvement and optimization.
  • Design, implement, and optimize assembly methods, test methods, and equipment operation.
  • Lead and influence across various levels and functions of the organization through strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Conduct desk research and competitive intelligence, summarizing vast amounts of data focused on key strategic and financial implications.
  • Perform experiments, analyze, and interpret numerical data, summarizing findings using computer readouts, statistical summaries, and graphs.
  • Review process procedures, change orders, equipment specifications, validation plans, and reports.
  • Conduct market research.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a B.S. in Engineering, Finance, Business, or Marketing with at least 2 completed college semesters.
  • Ability to multitask.
