K2 Integrity is looking for a highly motivated and focused Data Scientist to design, develop, and implement our Systemic Risk Analytics Framework for K2 Integrity’s market-leading Anti-Financial Crime and Compliance solutions. This role will involve collaboration with Product Management, R&D, Business, Data Science, and Data Architecture teams to develop a leading-edge platform supporting robust analytics for identifying and reporting illicit activities and associated behavioral patterns. Responsibilities include the development of risk models for individual entities, populations, and jurisdictional detection and monitoring. Modern analytical techniques such as customer segmentation, identity resolution, neural networks, and machine learning models will be utilized alongside operational summary statistics analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement a robust analytics framework and reporting capability in conjunction with Systemic Risk Analytics function.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify and codify new 'unknown unknown' risk typologies into models.
  • Collaborate with data science and product management to develop and implement analysis models for known and unknown illicit behaviors aimed at increasing alert value and reducing false positives.
  • Implement compliance rules for analyzing payments, beneficiaries, remitters, and managing directors for sanctions identification.
  • Work on a KYC/CDD analytics solution with internal systems and technology vendors to analyze risk across entities, populations, and jurisdictions.
  • Implement data governance controls and procedures to ensure data integrity and lineage.
  • Automate operational execution of rules, models, and reports, as well as alert functions for data cleanliness and availability issues.
  • Enhance investigation accuracy and effectiveness while reducing operational overhead and costs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s degree or Ph.D. in statistics, math, or a related quantitative field.
  • 8+ years of demonstrated experience in developing and managing operational analytical solutions or frameworks.
  • Expertise in optimizing and automating analytical models/rules (including testing and performance validations).
  • Proficient in programming with SAS, Spark, Python, R, or equivalent languages.
  • Experience with Large Language Models such as ChatGPT or similar technologies.
  • Experience with Anti-Financial Crime and Compliance technologies (e.g., Transaction Monitoring Systems, KYC/CDD, Sanctions Screening).
  • Ability to work during Eastern Standard Time regular business hours.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CAP, DASCA, PDS, SAS Big Data Professional, Microsoft Certified Azure Data Scientist Associate).
  • Strong knowledge and familiarity with Palantir Foundry applications and solutions.
