Data Scientist

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join KUNGFU.AI, a management consulting and engineering firm focused exclusively on artificial intelligence. In this role, you will partner with project managers, strategists, and engineers to help clients gain deeper insights into their unique challenges. Your responsibilities will include:

• Identifying relevant data sets and performing statistical analyses to support strategic decision-making.
• Effectively visualizing and communicating statistical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Identifying opportunities to improve the overall product or data ecosystem.
• Collaborating with diverse client teams and reporting project status to KUNGFU.AI management.
• Providing support within an AI-focused context and occasionally assisting machine learning engineers.

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

• Deep understanding of applied statistics and product analytics.
• Ability to formulate clear hypotheses, execute appropriate statistical tests, and interpret the results for a non-technical audience.
• Experience using data and experimental methods to analyze business phenomena such as price elasticity, customer behavior, and risk.
• Familiarity with various machine learning models and demonstrated ability to adopt new tools and techniques quickly.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with common data science tools (e.g., Jupyter, Git, SQL, Matplotlib, AWS EC2).
• Experience in causal inference, A/B testing, or experimental design.
• Strong navigational skills in complex client environments and a commitment to high-quality client service.
• Expertise in analytical domains such as causal modeling, power analysis, or econometrics.
• A collaborative nature that enhances multidisciplinary project teams.
• Experience applying the Scientific Method to solve business problems and ability to present findings effectively through data visualization.
• Solid written communication skills for presenting technical approaches and findings to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability from A to Z in various data science projects.
• Resourcefulness and comfort with decision-making.
