Position Summary:
Responsible for collaborating with business, operational leaders, and cross-functional IT teams to drive impactful results by leveraging data and analytical tools, strategic thinking, and hypothesis-based analysis on machine learning (ML)-based projects. You will model complex business problems using statistical, algorithmic, mining, and visualization techniques. You will also support senior leadership by creating business insights, reports, and analytics to aid in the decision-making process.
Essential Functions:
- Translate business needs into analytics/reporting requirements to support business decisions and workflows with data.
- Perform large-scale experimentation and development of data-driven models to answer business questions.
- Proactively mine data sources to identify trends and patterns and generate insights for business units and senior leadership.
- Research and implement cutting-edge techniques and tools in machine learning, deep learning, and AI to enhance data efficiency.
- Apply statistical analysis and visualization techniques, such as hierarchical clustering, t-SNE, or PCA in machine learning.
- Design and conduct data analysis with high standards of rigor and scientific accuracy, including study design, methodology, algorithms, and statistical modeling.
- Improve and extend existing analytics, delivering reusable services while identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain and project the Company’s professional reputation, alongside completing core accountabilities with minimal supervision.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Fluency in multiple programming languages and statistical analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, SAS, MATLAB, SPSS, SQL, Excel, JavaScript).
- Knowledge of distributed data/computing tools (e.g., MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, Kafka).
- Understanding of statistical and data mining techniques (e.g., GLM/regression, random forest, boosting, trees, text mining, hierarchical clustering, deep learning).
- Preference for knowledge of key platforms such as Salesforce CRM Analytics and Microsoft Fabric.
- Strong understanding of AI, its potential roles in problem-solving, and the future trajectory of generative AI models.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work in diverse, cross-functional teams in a dynamic business environment, with superior presentation skills including storytelling.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or a related field (or relevant experience).
- Specialization in text analytics, image recognition, graph analysis, or other specialized ML techniques preferred.
- Experience in conducting statistical analysis and building models with advanced scripting languages.
- At least three years of relevant experience in launching, planning, and executing data science projects, including statistical analysis, data engineering, and data visualization.
Position Type & Compensation:
Salaried full-time position with a salary range of $95,000 — $110,000 USD.
