As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing best practices and making architectural decisions to rapidly improve critical data processing and analytics pipelines. You will tackle hard problems to improve the platform's reliability, resiliency, and scalability. This role involves providing technical leadership, leading data engineering initiatives, and building end-to-end analytical solutions that are highly available, scalable, stable, secure, and cost-effective. We are looking for someone who thrives on autonomy and has experience driving long-term projects to completion while being detail and quality oriented. Our tech stack includes Informatica, Matillion/Alteryx, Snowflake, Power BI, and various AWS services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather business and functional requirements, translating these into robust, scalable, operable solutions with a flexible data architecture.
  • Collaborate with analytics and business teams to enhance data models, increasing accessibility and fostering data-driven decision-making.
  • Implement processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is accurate and available for stakeholders.
  • Write unit/integration tests, contribute to engineering documentation, and perform data analysis for troubleshooting data-related issues.
  • Design data integrations and a data quality framework.
  • Develop CI/CD pipelines and testing automation, refining coding standards and best practices within the data community.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in ETL/ELT, data modeling, and data warehouse architecture.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience writing complex, optimized SQL queries across large datasets.
  • 3+ years of experience in scripting languages like Python.
  • Experience with AWS and building code-driven infrastructure on public cloud platforms.
  • Understanding of SQL, dimensional modeling, and analytical data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake).
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks/tools such as Git, Jenkins, Ansible, and Terraform.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative/technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering) or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience in architecting data lakes and cloud data warehouses.
  • A product-focused mindset with the ability to understand business requirements for scalable systems.

Salary Range:

Placement within this compensation range will be determined by the candidate's knowledge, experience, and skills: $66,910.00 - $111,510.00.
