We are looking for a Data Engineer Supervisor at McLane Intelligent Solutions to lead our data engineering team, ensuring that our data architecture is robust, scalable, and aligned with our business needs. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills, as the supervisor will oversee the design, development, and implementation of data systems and processes. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the data engineering team in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and architectures.

Requirements:

  • Academic Qualifications:
    • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Experience:
    • Demonstrated experience as a Data Engineer or in a comparable position focused on data architecture and management.
    • High proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Java.
    • Experience with ETL tools and data pipeline architectures.
    • Familiarity with data warehousing technologies (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery) and database systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
    • Experience with Power BI and Microsoft Azure (including Data Lake).
  • Skills:
    • Proven track record in team leadership and management.
    • Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capability to work effectively across teams and departments.
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is advantageous.
    • Understanding of data governance, data privacy, and compliance regulations.
