Position Purpose: Develops and operationalizes data pipelines to make data available for consumption (reports and advanced analytics), including:

• Data ingestion, transformation, validation/quality, optimization, and orchestration.
• Engagement with the DevSecOps Engineer during continuous integration and continuous deployment.
• Standardized data management procedures around data staging, ingestion, preparation, provisioning, and destruction.
• Design, development, implementation, testing, documentation, and operation of large-scale, high-volume, high-performance data structures for business intelligence analytics.
• Real-time processing applications and data pipelines.
• Providing insights into the changing data environment, data processing, storage, and utilization requirements, along with suggestions for solutions.
• Architectures using programming languages and tools.
• Improvement of data reliability, efficiency, and quality; using data to discover automation opportunities.
• Other duties as assigned, while complying with all policies and standards.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in programming with SQL and JavaScript.
• Building pipelines to move Big Data across multiple cloud platforms.
• Experience with data from the Health Care Quality subject area.
• Familiarity with Snowflake DBMS, AWS S3, Control ME.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science).
• 2 – 4 years of related experience or equivalent experience demonstrated through applicable knowledge and skills.

Technical Skills:

• Experience with Big Data and Data Processing.
• Diagnosing system issues, data validation, and providing quality assurance testing.
• Data Manipulation and Data Mining.
• Experience working in a production cloud infrastructure.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Java and SQL.
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Servers.

Soft Skills:

• Intermediate level seeking to acquire knowledge in the area of specialty.
• Ability to identify problems and procedural irregularities; collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to work independently.

Pay Range: $61,200.00 - $110,200.00 per year. Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including:

Actual pay will be adjusted based on skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors. Total compensation may include additional forms of incentives.
