General Responsibilities:

  • Work with the data engineering team to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from various sources into the company’s data infrastructure.
  • Implement APIs and integration tools for seamless data movement across platforms and applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including analysts, data scientists, and business units, to create well-structured, efficient data sets for reporting and analytics.
  • Ensure data integrity by enforcing rigorous quality control measures at the point of data entry, including validation checks and error handling.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to data processing jobs as part of an on-call rotation.
  • Engage in regular code reviews and peer feedback sessions to promote continuous learning and adherence to best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Degree in computer science or related field.
  • Certifications: Prefer certifications in cloud technologies and/or data engineering (e.g., Azure Data Professional, Amazon AWS).
  • Experience:
    • 1+ years in a data and/or software engineering role.
    • 1+ years with CI/CD tools for deploying Data Engineering solutions.
    • 1+ years working with cloud technologies, infrastructure, and data platforms.
    • 1+ years working with data warehouses/data lakes.
    • 1+ years of experience in the insurance industry.
