Environ Energy is seeking a skilled Data Engineer/Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports using Power BI. You will use SQL and other data extraction and transformation frameworks to build databases and conceptual data models in support of the company’s analytics and reporting needs. Your role is crucial in transforming raw data into meaningful business intelligence to support data-driven decision-making within the organization.

Requirements:

  • Duties/Responsibilities:
    • Data Analysis & Reporting:
      • Gather, analyze, and interpret large datasets from various sources to provide actionable insights.
      • Develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
      • Perform ad-hoc data analysis and deliver reports for specific business projects.
      • Design and produce monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc management and financial reports.
    • Dashboard Design & Development:
      • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for Power BI reporting.
      • Design, build, and deploy user-friendly dashboards that provide meaningful insights.
      • Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all reporting.
    • Data Management:
      • Extract and transform data from multiple sources for reporting and analysis.
      • Create and optimize data models and datasets for use in Power BI.
      • Monitor and maintain the performance of Power BI reports and dashboards.
    • Collaboration & Communication:
      • Work closely with leaders and team members to understand their data and reporting needs.
      • Communicate findings and insights through presentations and reports.
      • Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to ensure data quality and availability.
    • Continuous Improvement:
      • Identify opportunities to improve processes, automate reporting tasks, and streamline business intelligence delivery.
      • Stay updated with the latest features in Power BI and integrate them into analytics processes.
      • Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI tools.
  • Required Skills/Abilities:
    • Technical Skills:
      • Proficient in Microsoft Power BI, including report development, data modeling, and dashboard creation.
      • Advanced proficiency in Excel and SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
      • Experience with DAX, and familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS is a plus.
    • Analytical Skills:
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
      • Ability to work with complex datasets and extract meaningful insights.
    • Communication & Collaboration:
      • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
      • A collaborative mindset and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Microsoft Power BI certification or other relevant certifications.
    • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or Azure SQL Database.
    • Familiarity with DAX, Python or R for advanced data analysis.
  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
    • 2-4 years of related work experience with proven experience in Power BI and other BI technologies.

The good faith salary hiring range for this position is $70,000 - $110,000 per year. Please note hiring ranges for candidates may differ based on education and experience.
