ICF is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team. Your role involves collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure the availability, quality, and integrity of data. Additionally, you will monitor and troubleshoot data systems to ensure reliability and address any issues that arise. With a strong focus on data security and governance, you will implement best practices to protect sensitive information while enabling seamless access for authorized users. The position is remote; candidates must reside in the U.S., and work must be performed in the U.S.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop long-term partnerships with customers and vendors, contributing to their strategic business plans by understanding the future direction of their organization and the industry's landscape.
  • Facilitate the adoption of best practices, including standards, methodology, and metrics in preparing architecture deliverables while rapidly creating prototypes for client approvals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholder groups to translate business use cases into specific solution architecture designs, assist with planning implementation timelines, and ensure implementation guidelines are followed.
  • Optimize database performance for efficient data retrieval and storage.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required. Must reside in the U.S. and work must be performed in the U.S.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years of ETL and database solution development covering data integration, data warehousing, data lakes, and analytic pipelines.
  • 5+ years of experience defining technical architecture, infrastructure design, system requirements, and implementing data management systems, including experience with Big Data systems, data warehouses, and reporting/analytic systems.
  • 5+ years of experience in SQL and with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Databricks or cloud AI environments.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
  • Knowledge of Agile and Scrum processes.
  • Experience in federal contracting preferred.
