The BI Team

The Business Intelligence team is collaborative, pragmatic, and iterative. Team members are expected to be well-rounded contributors to eliminate single points of failure and ensure smooth project delivery. Responsibilities may include creating and managing front-end visualizations, engineering ETLs, and supporting operational teams with custom data processes. You'll work across the entirety of the BI platform.

Responsibilities

• Engineer robust, scalable ETLs for new datasets and utilize data for reporting.
• Build and maintain dashboards for internal stakeholders and external clients.
• Automate and improve data ingestions, contributing to orchestration pipelines and data quality assurance.
• Enhance the company’s cloud-based data platform.
• Implement or refine CI/CD, IaC, test-driven development, agile, and reporting strategies.
• Gather requirements from clients, partners, and internal departments.
• Collaborate with software developers and data scientists on cross-departmental solutions.
• Communicate new features and lead trainings for internal users, clients, and partners.
• Foster a collaborative and agile culture within the team.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in BI platform development or data engineering.
• 1-3 years of experience scripting and programming in Python, with SQL-based databases (Redshift, Athena, SQL Server, MySQL, etc.).
• 1-3 years of experience with cloud computing services (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.) and Git version control (Bitbucket, GitHub, etc.).
• 1-2 years of experience with IaC tools (CloudFormation, Terraform, etc.) and building/maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.) preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in Kanban environments and practicing test-driven development principles preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, QuickSight, Power BI, etc.) preferred.
