Core4ce is seeking a Data Engineer to support a Government Customer in Arlington, VA. The ideal candidate will facilitate the configuration and ingestion of structured, unstructured, and semi-structured data repositories into capabilities that meet mission partner requirements. This role will support a data analytics and DevOps pipeline to drive rapid delivery of functionality to the client.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all operational aspects of data transfers, ensuring security posture of the underlying infrastructure and supported systems.
  • Monitor health of the environment through various health tracking capabilities.
  • Automate configuration management and leverage tools to remain current on data extract, transfer, and load (ETL) technologies and services.
  • Work under general guidance to develop solutions independently, review architecture, and identify areas for automation, optimization, right-sizing, and cost reduction.
  • Utilize data engineering-specific technologies and services, with a focus on databases and various approaches for data structuring and retrieval.
  • Support establishment and maintenance of Cloud environments programmatically using vendor consoles and comprehend Cloud architectural constructs.
  • Engage with multiple functional groups to understand client challenges, prototype new ideas and technologies, and create innovative solutions.
  • Design, implement, schedule, test, and deploy full features and components of solutions, identifying scalable and efficient coding solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 7-10 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 5 years of experience.
  • Experience with Big Data systems and ETL processes.
  • Proficiency with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or MilCloud 2.0.
  • Knowledge of applying DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and automating that process.
  • Familiarity with multiple coding languages.
  • Active Secret Clearance.
