Data Engineer

We are looking for a Data Engineer based in Sunnyvale, CA, with strong expertise in Big Data technologies and Java development. This role presents an excellent opportunity for professionals eager to tackle new challenges and contribute to innovative projects.

Academic requirements/training:

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience working with Big Data technologies.
• Proficiency in Java programming.

Technical skills:

• Experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
• Strong understanding of database technologies including SQL and NoSQL.
• Knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data integration processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data solutions.
• Implement data security and compliance measures in data management practices.
• Optimize data storage and retrieval operations to improve performance.
• Migrate and deploy data solutions in cloud environments if needed.

Collaboration scheme:

• Type of contract: Direct and indefinite period, offering continuity and stability.
• Hours: Monday to Friday, EST Time, with flexible hours.
• Modality: WFH position, with willingness to occasionally work from the office (GAM, Costa Rica).
• Financial compensation: Negotiable, depending on final role and responsibilities.
