Software Development Responsibilities:

  • Develop data pipelines and solutions to transfer/transform data across various systems.
  • Maintain deep technical knowledge of tools in data warehousing, data hubs, and analytics tools.
  • Ensure data is transformed and stored efficiently for optimal retrieval and use.
  • Maintain data systems for optimal performance and develop an understanding of underlying business systems.
  • Follow standard software development lifecycle, code control, and process standards.
  • Continually develop technical knowledge through self-training and participation in educational opportunities.

Systems Analysis Duties:

  • Engage with key stakeholders to capture business needs and translate functional and technical requirements.
  • Provide ideas to simplify design and complexity in delivered solutions.
  • Clearly communicate expectations to stakeholders during solution delivery.
  • Develop and execute test plans to ensure successful rollout and quality of delivered solutions.

Service Management Duties:

  • Communicate any obstacles encountered during solution delivery to leaders and stakeholders.
  • Define and manage promised delivery dates, ensuring proactive research and analysis of operational issues.
  • Offer solutions to unexpected challenges during solution development and delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a Data Engineer role with specific skills in:
    • Relational databases (SQL), data warehouses (Oracle, SQL, Snowflake), data modeling, and data mining.
    • ETL/ELT tools (Pentaho Data Integration, Fivetran, dbt) and data ingestion frameworks.
    • Languages such as Python and Java, with proficiency in Git for source control.
    • At least one cloud platform experience (Azure, AWS, GCP).
    • Knowledge of cloud-based analytics solutions, Kafka, and Spark is a plus.
  • Advanced English proficiency; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a large, global corporate structure.
  • Demonstrated analytical ability and decision-making skills.
  • Willingness to travel for global implementations.
