We are looking for a Data Engineer to manage and automate the data flows that power our companies, partnering with a diverse team of functional leaders to deliver world-class business operations. This role will be responsible for governing and maintaining data structures, ensuring that all core business data is accurate, consistent, and accessible across the enterprise. Leveraging automated data pipelines, AI, and cloud-native tools, the Data Engineer will ensure that data migrations for acquired businesses are rapid, accurate, and fully integrated into our systems. During acquisition integration, the Data Engineer will work cross-functionally with business units to identify key data sources, map them into appropriate data structures, and automate the migration process, utilizing manual validation as needed. This role will ensure that data is cleansed, optimized, and integrated with a focus on scalability, security, and accuracy, allowing the business to make informed decisions in real-time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize automated data pipelines and AI/ML tools to optimize and accelerate data migration, cleansing, and transformation processes, improving data quality utility.
  • Maintain high standards of data quality through rigorous assessment, cleansing, and deduplication processes to ensure reliable and actionable data.
  • Manage and communicate risks associated with poor data quality, implementing effective solutions to mitigate these risks.
  • Lead data mapping sessions that foster productive collaboration across various organizational levels, ensuring clear and effective data integration.
  • Manage and integrate data effectively during rapid acquisition processes, ensuring data consistency and integrity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Technology, or equivalent degree.
  • 3+ years in data science, Business Systems, or equivalent role.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Apache Airflow, Talend, AWS Glue, or other cloud-native tools to design and build data pipelines.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Knowledge of relational databases.
  • Experience with data visualization and exploration tools.
  • Professional certifications in relevant technologies or cloud platforms can be advantageous.
