We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team at ONEOK, a Fortune 500 company with over 100 years in business as a leading midstream service provider. This role is pivotal in creating business value through providing enterprise data. The ideal candidate must possess AWS data engineering experience and the ability to manage all aspects of the data pipeline development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, monitoring, deployment, and maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architecting, building, creating, managing, and optimizing data pipelines for use by Data Analysts, Data Modelers, and Data Scientists.
  • Ensuring compliance with data governance and security requirements while improving integrated and reusable data pipelines.
  • Building and moving data through various stages to specific use cases.
  • Innovating data pipelines by utilizing modern tools and techniques to automate data preparation and integration tasks.
  • Collaborating with data consumers to promote responsible use of data through governance and compliance initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Quantitative field (Finance, Economics, Math, Engineering, Science), Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Systems Analysis, or related study, or equivalent experience.
  • 2 - 5+ years of industry or analytics experience with knowledge of:
    • AWS environment
    • Database management
    • Python, SQL, object-oriented programming, and ETL frameworks
    • Data pipelines, particularly in AWS.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and a positive attitude with a commitment to deliver quality work.

Work Environment:

  • This position is eligible for remote work in specific states: Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, or Wyoming.
  • Some travel may be required for office meetings at our corporate office in Tulsa, OK.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop data pipelines, coordinate and communicate development activities, and contribute to the overall data strategy.
  • Identify opportunities to deploy existing solutions in other business areas and follow defined change control and compliance procedures.
  • Apply data management principles to ensure governance and accuracy of data, as well as resolving complex problems and ensuring data quality.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in MIS, computer science, mathematics, or related field, or equivalent job-related experience.
  • Experience in multiple development languages/platforms and knowledge of the software development lifecycle.

Physical Demands:

  • Sedentary work with occasional lifting, carrying, and mobility requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and utilize office equipment such as computers and software.

Expected Salary Range: $94,000.00 - $140,000.00
