As a Data Engineer, you will be joining our San Francisco office with our strong C-level presence on the West Coast, including our CTO and CPO. We are building the future of communication and we would love for you to be a part of it.

About the role:

  • Design and build core data infrastructure pieces to support various data use cases.
  • Enhance data stack, lineage monitoring, and alerting to improve data quality.
  • Implement best practices for data management, storage, and security to ensure integrity and compliance.
  • Own the core company data pipeline, converting business needs into efficient & reliable data pipelines.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge.
  • Lead efforts to integrate new technologies to enhance our data infrastructure.
  • Define and manage evolving data models and schemas.
  • Collaborate with data teams to support complex data processing, storage, and orchestration.
  • Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and professional development support.

A little more about you:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering with a focus on data pipelines and infrastructure.
  • Proficient in SQL and Python, with experience in data workflow tools like dbt and Airflow.
  • Solid understanding of distributed computing principles and cloud-based data platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with data tooling, governance, business intelligence, and data privacy is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Annual salary: $120,000 - $220,000 (excluding equity and other benefits), depending on skills and experience.
