We are looking for a Data Engineer who will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the integration of data for our Data Warehouse product. This position involves collaborating within the Data Warehouse team and with business departments and management to support ABC’s mission-critical Data Warehouse initiatives.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Adhere to best practices for design, development, and testing of data integration processes.
- Align ETL environments with operational and business needs under the direction of the reporting manager.
- Ensure data quality, load metrics, and ETL rules through careful data assurance.
- Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of existing data integration processes.
- Migrate user guide documents to project/system wiki page (Confluence) and maintain content in line with functionality releases.
- Develop and maintain the data integration infrastructure for successful analytic processing and reporting, interfacing with external databases.
- Conduct technical analytic work and manage data integration operations.
- Experience with Snowflake, Analysis Services, PowerBI, and various SQL technologies (MySQL, DB2, Oracle) is a plus.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- SQL development skills and experience, along with knowledge of performance tuning in SQL environments.
- Familiarity with Kimball data warehousing concepts and experience with DataFactory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Stored Procedures, ETL, and loading large data volumes.
- Minimum of 1+ years as a Data Warehouse developer or tester, or 2+ years as an ETL developer or tester, with experience executing complex SQL queries.
- Over 2 years of experience with data integration using ETL tools like SSIS, DataFactory, or other related tools.
- A total of 7+ years of relevant experience is preferred (less experience may be acceptable with appropriate degrees).

- Salary information: U.S. candidates can expect $110,000 -- $150,000 USD annually; Canada candidates can expect $100,000-- $145,000 CAD annually, with potential for bonuses and commissions based on qualifications and experience.
