DATA ENGINEER - AWS

We are looking for an AWS Data Engineer to join our team in Irving, TX. This on-site role involves the planning, design, and implementation of data structures for LSG Sky Chefs North America in our AWS environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating all internal and external data sources into a robust and scalable data model to support business intelligence and analytics needs throughout the company.

Main Accountabilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define business intelligence needs and translate them into data modeling solutions.
• Develop, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and dimensional data modeling in AWS.
• Responsible for data cleansing, standardization, and quality control.
• Create data models that support comprehensive insights and business intelligence tools.
• Design and implement data integration and data quality framework, including monitoring best practices and trigger-based alerts.
• Investigate and document data problems, recommend mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with data governance and security requirements.
• Create and manage documentation and change control for all technical designs and systems maintenance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

• Bachelor's or graduate degree in computer science, information systems, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience with schema design, data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience with Python and/or Java development.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience with SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL, SQL Server, SSMS, SSIS, SSAS.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in AWS environment.
• Expertise in building stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Experience with SDLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies is a plus.

Work Environment:

• Type of contract: Direct and indefinite period; we offer continuity and stability.
• Hours: Full-time, 4 days per week in the office at North America headquarters in the Dallas, Texas area.
