Overview: We are looking for an Associate Data Engineer to transform millions of data points into unparalleled opportunities – supporting everything from electing Democrats to combating climate change throughout the world. You'll be driving positive change as part of a team of data scientists and engineers developing first-of-their-kind machine-learning products. Responsibilities:

• Create an inclusive workspace and build data-intensive applications to extract, transform, and load massive data sets from various sources.
• Assemble large and complex data sets that meet project needs, develop processes for data mining, modeling, and production, and prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modeling.
• Compile and deliver aggregated data for analysis to improve business operations while using various technological languages and tools to connect systems.
• Work toward constant improvement of data reliability and quality, collaborating with cross-functional teams to support their data infrastructure needs.

Must-have qualifications:

• Experience with key data analytics tools (Python, Pandas, PySpark).
• Ability to build and optimize data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.
• Attention to detail and intellectual curiosity to innovate on data management solutions.
• Passion for progressive and philanthropic causes and all things digital.

Nice-to-have qualifications:

• 1-3 years of professional experience.
• Experience extracting data from APIs and managing big data resources through Amazon Web Services or another cloud provider.
• Experience with SQL and building data-intensive applications for high-performance algorithms.
• Experience with deep-learning models and managing data warehouses/data lakes.
• Experience collaborating in dynamic, cross-functional teams.

Salary Range: $67,000 to $70,000 per year, depending on experience. This position is included in a union-represented collective bargaining unit, and specific employment terms and conditions are subject to collective bargaining.

Location: We are currently working remotely with no return-to-office date. Applicants may reside in the following states: AZ, CT, DC, FL, GA, IL, IN, LA, MA, MD, MN, MO, NC, NH, NJ, NM, NY, OR, PA, SC, TX, VA, and WI. Supporting your team on some nights and weekends during high-volume periods, such as elections, may be required.
