About Mytra
We're creating an entirely new way to solve the most ubiquitous problem in industry - moving and storing material. We're applying robotics and distributed software to create a new class of product for this $1T market. We're focused on the supply chain industry first, which is currently experiencing significant challenges due to the growth of e-commerce, rising costs, and supply chain disruptions.
Role Overview
Mytra's new AI team is looking for foundational members to bring intelligent decision-making and situational awareness to its distributed robot fleet. As an AI engineer, you'll collaborate closely with our team to prototype, productionize, and deploy solutions at the intersection of robotics and machine learning, with opportunities to work on:
- Reinforcement learning
- Embedded software
- Distributed autonomously routing vehicles
- Computer vision
- AI on edge-computing
Example Projects
Some of the projects you may work on include:
- Adding observations from our storage management simulator to a policy network trained with reinforcement learning
- Leveraging new open-source tools or models to speed up the machine learning pipeline
- Training a depth network for monocular camera and time-of-flight sensor data
- Creating visualization tools to debug and understand decisions made by the policy network
- Implementing computer vision models or RL algorithms from newly published papers
- Optimizing model architecture for size and speed for ECU compatibility
- Developing occupancy maps for localization and collision avoidance from depth maps and learned features
- Benchmarking strategies for tracking improvements when deploying new models to the robot fleet
- Optimizing SOTA BEV algorithms
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate possesses the following qualities:
- Proficient in Python, with experience in PyTorch and training deep neural networks
- Eager to contribute to and shape an evolving project
- Familiar with various types of sensors and robot software frameworks
- Comfortable with uncertainty, willing to learn from mistakes and pivot
- Knowledgeable about simulators like Omniverse, OpenAI Gym, MuJoCo, or Unity
- Able to communicate complex ideas and technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Value openness, inquisitiveness, and a collaborative spirit
- Enjoy pair programming and supporting others
A Final Note
We encourage you to apply even if you can't fully engage with every example project. We emphasize close collaboration at Mytra, where no one works on projects alone. We're looking for individuals eager to learn, collaborate, and contribute unique perspectives.
